Norah’s Baptism

There is a saying that you are the average of the five people whom you are around the most. Today we celebrated Norah joining our Catholic church through the sacrament of Baptism. We were surrounded by a beautiful community of friends and family that are responsible for encouraging us to be the faithful family that we are today. We are beyond blessed to have friends that challenge us in so many ways to be better parents and followers of Christ.

“It is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”

Luke 4:4:

I really have to pinch myself. I dreamed and prayed for this moment. There was a small part of me that believed that having a husband and family that loved God was just a silly fantasy, families like that don’t really exist. It’s definitely not how I grew up. When I got married I thought about those families I saw at church that attended mass together. I wanted my family to look like that. My dad went to church with us a handful of times that I remember. My mother never made him feel bad for not going not did she badger him to attend Mass at least not in front of us. I know she prayed for me to stay in our faith and at least raise my children in our Catholic community. She may not say it, but I know she is deeply proud of how Ryan leads us to God everyday.
