This year of 2021 has been dedicated to St. Joseph by the Catholic Church. Joseph was a big contender for the name of our first born son. It was fitting that Nicholas’ baptism fell on Father’s Day and at Mass we consecrated ourselves to Jesus’ foster father and pray to him throughout the year and asking for his protection. St. Joseph, pray for us.

When you are the designated picture taker it is difficult to get pictures of yourself during these moments. I prayed about focusing only on the gift of baptism for my son. It was difficult for a snap happy mom like myself. But I was rewarded with a truly memorable day and a video of the entire mass. Praise God for his wonderful gifts.

As if Nicholas knew what was about to happen, he smiles and coos at us for a long beautiful moment before he received the graces of baptism.

It was so special to have Nicholas baptized at the mass that we normally attend. The ushers, sacristans, the usual patrons and our friends whom saw me every Sunday become more and more pregnant surrounded us in this special sacrament.

Nicholas is a very calm baby and mostly very quiet unless his tummy is upset or he is hungry. When Father Pat poured the holy water over his head he cried just a little. He stretched causing the water to go into his eyes and face. He was so heavy it was hard to hold him over the font especially since I had been holding him in this position for a while.

A Father’s Day baptism to remember. Welcome to the church Nicholas Fulton. You have the very best daddy in the world.
It is providential that we pray to Jesus’ earthly father, St. Joseph to guide the men in our lives. Praying for Ryan and all of the fathers out there. May God continue to bless you with good health and the strength to lead your families in faith and love by example.
💙A prayer to St. Joseph 💙
Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
To you God entrusted his only Son;
in you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man.
Blessed Joseph, to us too,
show yourself a father
and guide us in the path of life.
Obtain for us grace, mercy and courage,
and defend us from every evil. Amen.

I was so thankful to get pictures off the video recorded and streamed by our church. Check out the Mass here.
