The girls attended music camp this past week and enjoyed every minute of it. Last year we discovered this music camp from a friend and it was such a welcoming place of normal in the midst of a weird 2020. Healthy snacks, friends and learning music are exactly what my girls needed. They were both so hesitant and nervous on the first day last year. By the time I picked them up, they were singing the songs they had learned and telling me all about the funny skits.

The minute I started asking them about summer camps and swim lessons they immediately voiced that music camp was their number one choice of camps this summer. They love it so much. It is funny the difference a year makes. When I signed them up for tennis camp last year they were also very hesitant and not excited at all. This year they were hoping to go to tennis camp again. Both of my big girls are growing up and more excited to try new things. I am so proud of them.

My favorite part about summer camps is that they get to do new and fun things with wonderful friends. Having familiar faces they can trust and grow with is such an important things to have at any age. While the kiddos were at camp, the littles and I spent time with their mommas and younger siblings. Good friendships are hard to come by, so when I find people that speak kind words and share their time, I hang on and nurture those relationships. My family has been so blessed to find amazing friends that we are doing life with. Raising kids are growing up is tough and it has been made easier with people that support and love us.

The Wheel Kitchen

Friday, on the last day of camp, my sister and a few other camp moms met us for brunch. We enjoyed beautiful views and fun conversations. We left the farm to table dive to attend the concert that the camp kids were performing. It was so good, I teared up a few times. I am so amazed at how much they learn in just a week. My niece, Liviana, blew us away with her amazing performance. I am so glad she was brave enough to go. As we left camp, the girls asked why camp was so short. It is safe to say that we plan our summer around this sweet little music camp.
